Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, the Ardenza Foundation is an award-winning cultural organization led by seasoned musicians with a passion for bringing people together through collaborative music projects.
Ardenza Foundation founders Daniela Dikova, Geoffrey Dean, and Galina Koycheva are also the Ardenza Trio, a well-known classical chamber music ensemble.
We were recently asked about the name of our organization. This is how we answered:
The adjective ardente can be found in French, Italian, and Portuguese with additional meanings such as burning, fiery, flaming, fiery, ardent, raging, yearning, fierce, earnest, warm, alive, hot, hot-blooded.
In other Romance languages, it is arder (to burn in Spanish) and ardere (to burn in Romanian).
If you really burn to meet like-minded musicians to play chamber music, then the music you make will be on fire – from that initial spark, the flame will follow. When there’s excitement, you can hear it in the performance.
